Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving to you!
I want to take the time to make mention of a few things I'm very thankful for...

- My health. Although it might not be the best it can be I'm still above ground and that's a lot to be thankful for.
- My family. I am thankful for my loving wife Tonya, my girls Hailey & Loryn, and my boy Nic. I also thank God for my very sweet and supportive parents, and the rest of my family who have always been kind and loving to me.
- My friends. You know who you are... you bunch of goofballs!
- My job. Although it might not be the exact thing I want to be doing, it is in my field and it's a blessing to be working around the amazing men and women of the US Army. I do love photo and video and being a part of the training mission for our soldiers at the Joint Readiness Training Center. It's always fun to fly around in Blackhawks and to have my boots on the ground alongside our heroes as they train to defend our nation. I've been able to meet generals, governors, representatives, congressmen, politicians, green berets, rangers and tons of other military and civilian officials of the US and other countries.
- My God. I am thankful to have him in my life, directing my path and meeting my needs on a daily basis. Jesus is my Lord and without him I would be in trouble.
- My Country. With all the flaws we have (seems like more and more each day) we are still the United States of America and the greatest country on Earth. We need to look past what makes us different and be proud Americans... something that unites us all.
- Our Veterans. The men and women of our armed forces, and their families, that sacrifice a normal way of life and even put their lives in harms way to protect us and ensure that we remain a free country.

- Star Wars. Yes, Star Wars! I am thankful that the folks at Disney and JJ Abrams are bringing us a brand new Star Wars adventure to the big screen in less than a month! Woot! I've already got my tickets to the premiere. This one better not suck!

What are you thankful for?
