Rebels, Dr. Jones and a brand new year...

Welcome to the new year!!

Happy New Year everyone. Hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas and are off to a great fresh start this year.
We spend New Years Eve in Kinder, LA at my folk's house eating finger foods and popping fireworks. We then kicked off the year with a prayer and communion.

I'm not doing a resolution this year because I always break them in a matter of days. However, Tonya and I are going to try our best to cut down on Cokes and drink more water this year.

I started a new project... Photo 365... I will attempt to take a new photo every day for the next 365 Days. I'll post the photos here weekly or monthly. But since this is new years day I'll go ahead and post my first photo now.

Here it is....
It's a pic of a Sideshow Toys Premium Format Figure (statue) of Indiana Jones from Temple of Doom. It stands about 14" tall.

I had a goal of finishing a feature length screenplay by the end of the year and I just made it. I finished it Dec 29th around 10AM. It's an untitled retro B-Movie Monster flick. I'm going to start revising it into a 2nd draft this month. Hopefully around March I'll shoot the film.

I watched season 1 of the Disney cartoon series Star Wars: Rebels today on Blu-ray. What an awesome series. The cartoon episodes actually have good plots and you can see character development throughout the series. Very well done. I can't wait for the next season which will feature Darth Vader.

I also began writing a grant today for the Lake Charles Film & Music Festival. This will be our 5th Annual festival. It seems like it's only been a few months ago when I created the festival and started work on the very first one. Time moves soooo fast.

Talk to you later, peeps...
